I bought second hand HP dc7800 and it starts automatically as soon as the power cable is plugged in.
I tried all of the different settings in BIOS and no matter what I do:
After Power Loss: Off
BIOS Power-on : all disabled
...changing remote wake-up sources the computer just powers on as soon as the power cable is plugged in.
What else can I do?

check the following self-repair-site for your DC 7800
change to Win764
look for the latest Firmware (Bios) if it will fix the problem
otherwise head over to the us-part of the forum

I have Linux Ubuntu 17.04 installed on the machine.
I can not use Windows installer for BIOS.
download, extract & you'll find a dos flash directory with all needed tools.

None of the above but thanks for your input.
It was the empty CMOS battery. The tip off was a short flash at booting saying something to the effect of "Date/time not set" although I had set it previously.
After battery change everything is back to normal.
It probably held on to default BIOS which is to power on after the computer is plugged in and never actually saved the settings due to the battery being empty.
